Pankaj Soni from IIM Ahmedabad, intensely concerned with designs as an art form. He has a deep understanding of fashion in groom wear and his collection, completely innovative yet awe-inspiring. He draws from influences, wide and varied. From the village crafts and traditional methods of design that India is so rich in and therefore the designer brings all of them to life in his spectacular yet original language.
The designer graduated from IIM, then he launched his label in designing the line and there's no looking back. Later, labelled as the favourite of Bengaluru fashionable elite, well-known stylist and wardrobe consultant too.
He started his career as a freelancer then small boutique the established one with name Pankaj Soni. His very first customer was Raghu for a corporate suit. Here it all began from.
His very first wedding wear design for customer Mayank who came with no idea and just came for exclusive designer wear, so Pankaj understood his colour, his style and physique and made him one tuxedo and one Indo-western wear for 85k. Well, we all know the wedding is the main function and has its own importance than any other event. While choosing wedding attire, the groom should make sure that the wedding attire is absolutely different from the ones which he wore in all the pre-wedding functions. Wedding mostly takes place at night so the groom can go with bright colours with embroidered work on it.
His design range varies from Indo Western Design wear, Tuxedos, Sherwanis, Ethnic Wear, Formal Shirts and Trousers, Modi Jackets, Kurta Pajamas, Wedding Outfits for Groom, Party wear and so on. We’ve seen a huge growth in the groom’s fashion and trends has a category of its own and are accessible at targeted rates. Everyone wants a great deal while choosing their attire. Whereas choosing your wedding suit, look particular to the fashion, cut, material and shade of the suit and the design targeted around your structure, weight and skin shade. His opinion is, Online grooming will not help groom much, as the designer needs to understand his colour taste, skin colour, physique and all. His low budget suit starts from 25k and goes on with varied designs and styles. He designs men's wear which is classy and trendy, which brings out your overall personality. He makes sure that the fabric, fitting and details are nicely done which also you feel comfortable upon wearing. The maroons and goldens look beautiful till date, more often than not, the first choice of any groom is the combination of maroon and gold. But he believes it is the time to switch to different colours which can represent your personality well. How about going royal this season? Yes, Mughal Style Sherwanis are the gifts to the Indian Grooms for their big fat weddings from the Mughal period. Just imagine the scene, groom entering the wedding hall in such royal style, giving an impression of no less thanking of Mughal Period. Age-old Nehru jacket still hasn’t lost its charm even after many decades, can be nicely combined with the modern men’s wear to give it a classic-trendy look.
